Strappe > I headed across the bridge to Ferndale and up to Mattole Road to the Lost Coast.

Strappe > A closer look: guess I missed something in Capetown.

Strappe > Riding for 15 miles in the clouds, sometimes the visibility was very poor. Finally I came out from under them at Capetown.

Strappe > Capetown is in the valley between two ridges. Climbing the next ridge you can see the Lost Coast.

Strappe > From Mattole Road a couple of miles west of Honeydew.

Strappe > The bridge over the Mattole River at Honeydew.

Strappe > I crossed the bridge and climbed the ridge to Panther Gap on the edge of Humboldt Redwoods State Park.

Strappe > Up and on the road bright and early, there was very little traffic on Highway 1. I usually head inland to avoid the Winnebarges, but not today.

It was foggy and cool but very pleasant down the coast to Point Arena.
